Mr. Geoffrey Benes
Geoffrey Benes, the conductor of the Athens High School Orchestras, is a 1988 graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a major in Instrumental Music Education. He began his teaching career in the Troy School District at Boulan Park Middle School in 1988 and transferred to Athens High School in 1992. Currently, he is pursuing a Masters Degree in Music Education from Eastern Michigan University. He is a past member of the Rochester, Michigan Symphony Orchestra. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Kristen, and their children Alyssa and Matthew, and recently moved much closer to Athens High School to a home in Troy, Michigan. |
